As an advocate for lowering property taxes, I have lowered property taxes for over 1,000 families in District 16 in the past 2 years. Doing so put taxpayer money back in the pockets of the taxpayer and in turn puts money back into the community.

  • Lake County is the 14th highest taxed county in the COUNTRY
  • Lake County IS the highest taxed county in the MIDWEST
  • District 16 is the 2nd HIGHEST taxed township in Lake County

Jobs are going to be the toughest job for the county, since the county is hindered by state mandates. Lake

County can create job growth by attracting manufacturing companies. By doing so, this will create lower

and middle class jobs.

 

As a commissioner of our district, I will work with all our village administrators and listen to their needs

and wants. There must be a working relationship, cooperative collaboration, and constant dialogue with

the villages and the county.

 

I also will work with the many different organizations in our district such as, the Chamber of Commerce,

Non-for-Profits, Small business owners, and work with those entities that are helping or already have a

voice for the many constituents in the district.

As a supporter for the Route 53 referendum, Lake County needs to hold Legislative officials accountable for getting Route 53 extended. Not only will Route 53 create job growth for Lake County, it will help expedite the Route 120 by pass that is desperately needed. Route 120 goes straight through District 16.

This will bring businesses and create jobs for our district.

Lake County has won the sunshine award for being one of the most transparent counties in the State of Illinois. I would ensure to keep transparency and continue the openness of the county with the taxpayer through existing means and to promote more town halls throughout the county to educate the taxpayers of the importance of:

  • Participating in Local Government.
  • Property Tax Relief and Education.
  • Taxpayer Forums, Direct Q & A with Board Members.
  • Education Forums to Understand How Local Governance Works.

Our communities need to be more active in Local Government and have a better understanding in how their Local Government works for them.

Waste management’s landfill is soon to expire. We need to promote green initiatives by using rail to haul waste out of Lake County. Lake County has taken the lead in passing Small Wind Power initiatives to provide different energy sources to its constituents. I would advocate for green initiatives that would benefit all of our communities.
